Purpose

It is the policy of Listening Point Foundation, Inc. (referred to herein as “the Foundation”) to protect the privacy of donor, customer, and contact information in order to foster deeper communication and forge greater public trust.

What Information is Collected

Information collected and stored by the Foundation from donors, customers, and/or contacts includes the following when possible/applicable: First/Last Name, Physical Mailing Address, Email Address, Telephone Number, Donation Amount, Donation Date, and Mailing List Preferences.

How Information is Collected

Donor, customer, and/or contact information is collected using both print and electronic methods. Print methods include returned forms from newsletters and other mailings, as well as physical sign-up sheets for the mailing list at our offices in Ely, MN and in the cabin at Listening Point. Electronic methods include the Contact form on the website (listeningpointfoundation.org) as well as the information provided when donating through the website Donation form or purchasing from the online Shop.

How Information is Used

Internal Use

The Foundation uses donor, customer, and/or contact information internally in various ways. It is used to populate the physical and electronic mailing lists sent out from the Foundation and is used to communicate other messages, such as donation acknowledgements and/or requests. It is used in the fulfilment of orders from the website or mailed request. Donor information is also used in various aspects of internal planning and development, as well as budgeting purposes.

Sharing Donor Information

Changing/Updating Information

Donors, customers, and/or contacts may update their information by contacting the Foundation through either print or electronic means. These means include sending in an updated form either physically, through direct email to info@listeningpointfoundation.org, or through the Contact page of the website.

Security Measures

Credit Cards/Bank Information

Credit card numbers and bank information are not stored by the Foundation in any capacity.

Website Security

The Foundation’s website uses Secure Socket Layers (SSL) encryption technology in order to protect the personal information of donors, customers, and/or contacts.

Website Data Collection

The Foundation employs the use of Google Analytics to track website usage and traffic flow. The website privacy policy can be viewed at listeningpointfoundation.org for information on any and all data handling occurring there. The Foundation does not record data used by third party applications to track users or to acquire personally identifying information.
